Plant Diagnosis
Tea Root Rot Critical
Soil-borne fungal disease affecting tea plant root systems caused by Poria hypobrunnea, Fomes lamaoensis under waterlogged conditions.
Description
Root rot is a serious soil-borne disease that affects tea plants in poorly drained soils or areas with prolonged waterlogging. The fungi attack the root system, causing decay and reduced nutrient uptake. Infected plants show gradual decline with yellowing leaves, reduced vigor, and eventual death. The disease is often associated with poor soil drainage, compaction, and high soil moisture levels.
Symptoms
- Root decay, yellowing, wilting, stunted growth, plant death.
