Description

Powdery mildew is a widespread fungal disease affecting a broad range of crops, including cucurbits, grapes, legumes, and ornamentals. Caused by various species such as Erysiphe, Oidium, and Sphaerotheca, it is characterized by white, powdery fungal growth on leaf surfaces, stems, and sometimes fruits. It thrives in warm, dry environments with high humidity at night. Infected plants show reduced vigor, yellowing, distorted growth, and poor fruit development.
