Tea Blister Blight Critical

Most serious fungal disease of tea causing blistering on young leaves and shoots caused by Exobasidium vexans from the March-November.

Description

Blister blight is the most devastating disease in tea gardens, particularly affecting young, tender leaves and shoots. The fungus causes characteristic translucent, circular spots that develop into white, powdery blisters on leaf undersides. Severely infected leaves drop prematurely, reducing both quality and quantity of tea harvest. The disease is favored by high humidity, moderate temperatures (20-25°C), and frequent rainfall.
